What data we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The content of your chat conversation with our assistant
  • Technical data such as IP address (for security and rate limiting)

Why we use your data

  • To contact you about your inquiry
  • To improve our services
  • To ensure the security of our website

Legal basis

We process your data based on legitimate interest (contact form for business inquiries) and your consent when you submit the form.

Third parties

We only share your data with parties necessary for our services:

  • Cloudflare, hosting, CDN and security services (US, EU Standard Contractual Clauses)
  • Anthropic, AI processing of chat conversations (US, EU Standard Contractual Clauses)
  • Resend, for sending email notifications (US, EU Standard Contractual Clauses)

We do not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. No data is sold to third parties.

Cookies

We only use strictly necessary cookies: a language preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) and a theme preference in localStorage. Cloudflare may place a security cookie (__cf_bm) for bot protection. No tracking or marketing cookies are used.

Retention period

Contact form data is retained as long as necessary to handle your inquiry, with a maximum of 12 months. After that, it is deleted.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access, you may request which data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification, you may have incorrect data corrected
  • Right to erasure, you may request deletion of your data
  • Right to object, you may object to the processing
  • Right to data portability, you may request your data in a standard format

Contact info@socialo.nl to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
